Nobody loves me.......

My morning dog walk is on a concrete path round a nearby reserve. Lately I have noticed quite a few worms on the path. This to me seems like a rather misguided and extremely dangerous trip these wiggly fellas are taking, being that on the concrete they are sitting “ducks” for the birds. There is even evidence of the perils and remnants of the fallen on the path… curvy lines on the path that used to be brethren.

One morning I was feeling particularly generous and thought I would throw the alive ones back on the grass to safety and beyond.. The dilemma then occurred….

Do I throw them to the left of the path, or to the right? I can imagine there is nothing more annoying to a worm than to commence an expedition to the other side, only to succumb to the hands of a busy body self proclaimed good Samaritan who in the guise of “helping” throws you right back to where you started from.

Crutch control?

I was wondering this morning why my left calf was aching this morning…

I realized this afternoon that it is because I borrowed a ute from work and yesterday drove it for an hour solid.
It’s a manual.

Clutch control is obviously a very good muscle toner.

From the Universe

When in a hurry, step #1 for changing the entire world, is falling in love with it as it already is.

Same for changing yourself.

P.s: And best of all, with this approach, there is no step 2.

Room 101

Buy 1 Get 1 Free Offers!

This is NOT a clever marketing ploy…

What the hell do I want with 2 vacuum cleaners or 2 battery operated spinning dusters?

“Use one for the car”
- Why can’t I use the same one for the car as well as the house?

“Give one to a friend”
- Huh? So you mean to tell me I have to hunt round for a friend who just happens not to already have a vacuum cleaner and then watch their faces on Christmas day as they stare with disbelief at the fact that their so called buddy has just bought them a bloody vacuum cleaner for Xmas, inferring that they don’t keep their house clean, when what they really wanted for a gift was the best of Shakira CD!

Please, just give me one for half price!!!!!!

STILL no excuse to act like a kid...

I was really really REALLY looking forward to going to Movieworld. At last I had a child old enough and tall enough to go on all the cool rides, and I could run around and act like a child again....

... but the Universe gave me a wuss for an 8 year old boy. He virtually hyperventilated on the first ride (above), and after that we were limited to bumper cars and baby rides.

I had to go on the Superman ride on my own. Just not the same!

I met my Hero!!!!!

Recently on hols I met my hero, and quickly snapped him on my mobile phone.
This guy to me symbolises the true meaning of persistence... despite all obstacles, Pepe goes for what he wants.... ;)
He's got a cute french accent too!

From the Universe

For those who ponder and wonder and wrestle with the idea of what it is they really want, I have an answer that each would wholeheartedly agree with: "HAPPINESS."
And for those who ponder and wonder and wrestle with exactly what will bring them true happiness, I have an answer that each would wholeheartedly disagree with: "Just do something, do anything, as soon as possible, and do it with care."

And I'd add, "Trust me."

Room 101

Macdonalds Happy Meal Toys

why?
cause they clutter up my house. If they are not broken within the hour then they get thrown into a plastic storage box until the next "clearout". When it's time for the spring clean, I then have to have a duel with my son as to whether it gets kept for another season or whether it can finally go in the trash where it belongs.
Please, spare me the hassle...leave them in Room 101!

A holiday is not a holiday until.....

  • You have spent copious amounts of money on absolute crap that the locals fob you off as "souvenirs"
  • You get sand in all your "creases"
  • You have aimlessly wandered around the evening streets looking for a restaurant that has enough people to look like it might sell decent food, but not so many that you won't get served for 3 hours.
  • You have come home with "3rd degree" sun-burn.

Flickr Finds

I occasionally check flickr out for photos to illustrate my blogs, for a hand made birthday card, or just for inspiration...

I especially enjoyed his personal takes on famous artists, and his 7 deadly sins are very cool ;)

From the Universe

Did you know that all of the "I LOVE YOUs" you feel and say are captured and recorded here?
They're actually put on display, sometimes even paraded around, so all can bask in their sublime glow.
Their energy could power a city like Narre Warren South for 10,000 years, their beauty could bring Mona Lisa to tears, and their healing power has already completely rearranged the time-space continuum.
You love machine,

Things I Learned This Week

  • Just because you do a good deed for the day, doesn't mean Karma will go easy on you..

  • Just because it's not red hot, doesn't mean it's not hot.

Yummm!

I'm addicted to Ice Cream sandwiches at the moment. The ones I buy from Aldi have a paler biscuit than the one in the pic... it's a kinda digestive texture, and of course it's "soggy" from the ice cream... Mmmmmmmmmm.
In fact... mght have to do for one now!

From the Universe

Even when the earth suddenly shakes, tides unexpectedly surge, and all hope seems lost, in the split second that follows I have a brand new plan, I know what we'll do, and I've got the pedal to the metal.

Just get back in your saddle and ride.

Metaphorically, speaking of course. I don't mean earthquakes and hurricanes, but friends who disappoint, connections that have faded, and dreams that seem to have been left in tatters.

* thanks to John Hulme for the pic...
