Music Mambo
1. They say every snowflake is unique. Name a musician who you think is unique and sounds like no one else.
Cerys Matthews from Catatonia... and what an amazing sound that is!
2. Snowfall covers everything in sight. Tell us about a cover song you enjoy.
It is very rare that a cover song is better than the original.. I can think of 3...
"Spirit in the Sky", originally by Norman Greenbaum, but revamped by Doctor and the Medics
"Cuz I Luv U", originally by Slade but re-sung by The Wonderstuff.
"Band on the Run" originally by Paul McCartney & Wings, but I recently discovered a fantastic rendition by Foo Fighters on the Radio One album.
3. It snows a lot in Canada. Tell us your favorite Canadian musician.
I'll say Bryan Adams.. I'm afraid to say I don't know many Canadian musicians. Shame on me!
4. Watching the snow fall can be very peaceful. Name a song that brings you peace.
'Don't know why" by Norah Jones.
Thanks for mamboing, and if it's snowing where you are - stay warm and stay safe!
I got sunburned today on the bike... sorry but I just had to gloat!

WOULDN'T TOUCH WITH A 10 FOOT BARGEPOLE (as my Gran used to say): Meatloaf ... love his music but he always looks sooooo sweaty! ;)
New Design Letter Box

Quirky Tuesday
- Mini Cooper - the ultimate cutey pie (and my first car) If I was childless I would probably still want one.
- VW Beetle - the original quirky bug - just ask Herbie. The Cabriolet is especially quirky, and they always seem to be painted unusual colours.
- Chrysler PT Cruiser - reminds me of the car the Ant Hill Mob used to drive.
Quirky Tuesday will have a different topic each week, to tell everyone about a quirk / ritual / obsession / routine about that subject. As little or as many as you like if you're playing along at home. (I sound like a game show host!). Readers can meme it on their own blogs or just comment on here. Don't forget to link!

Quirky Tuesday
- Erf - think it means "Hurry up" - it's what my dog says when I am getting dressed to take him for a walk.
- Dilarma - worse than a dilemma, but not as bad as a drama.
- Dispopsia - when you eat until you burst.

Things I Learned This Week
- Check things you find in your pantry to make sure they are not off before you put them in your salad.
- Stale Pine Nuts and corn kernels look extremely similar in a salad, and are extremely hard to successfully pick out.
- My boy loves me the best! (he came back from his dads early cause he missed me!)

Quirky Tuesday
- One blows a kiss and the other catches it and plants it on their cheek.
- I scratch his head, and say I have an itchy head... to which he replies "that's my head"
- When he leaves I tell him "be good, and if you can't be good..." and he replies "be good at it!"

The Truth Finally Spoken!
Wednesday, January 02, 2008
Room 101
I know it's hot.... REALLY hot at the moment, and you need comfort as well as cool... but PLEASE invest in the proper bra for the top you are wearing.
These days there is simply no need for seeing saggy greying straps. You can buy halter neck bras, ones with adjustable or removable straps, or if you simply MUST have them then those clever little clear plastic ones are great!
Or what about this Handy little invention... Problem solved!
No-one wants to see next weeks washing... so please please please HIDE THOSE STRAPS!
Things, people, places, situations etc you hate/loathe/dispise/don't like very much belong in Room 101. If you decide to do the same please comment or link as appropriate as I would love to hear yours too.
